Providers and OBUs
Once the truck toll comes into effect, every truck in the Netherlands must have a valid onboard OBU. Even if it only operates on roads exempt from the truck toll.
To obtain an OBU, you must sign a contract with a service provider. Alternatively, you must have your contract amended to include the truck toll in the Netherlands. An OBU is also referred to as an onboard unit or tollbox.
This is how you arrange payment of the truck toll
How you arrange payment of the truck toll depends on your situation. For example, whether you already have a toll device or fuel card.
