Truck toll in the Netherlands

Owners of trucks in categories N2 and N3 are required to pay truck toll in the Netherlands. The toll applies on almost all motorways and on some provincial and municipal roads.

To pay the truck toll, you need a contract with a service provider and an on-board unit (OBU). If you drive without an OBU, you may receive a fine. This also applies if you only drive on roads where the truck toll does not apply.

Dispensation and exemption

For certain vehicles, you can apply for a dispensation or an exemption may apply. Check which vehicles are eligible for a dispensation or for which an exemption applies.
